Adler Alan...

August 17, 2010 @ 0521 Adler Alan Bates was born. He weighted 8 lbs 8.9 oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. He couldn't be anymore perfect! I could have never imagined how much I would love being a mother. Everyday that I wake up I don't think I could love him anymore, but go to bed loving him more then ever. Jared is a great dad, couldn't ask for him to be any better. We are all settling in to living in the "world of Adler." He gets whatever he wants and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Adler had his first Dr. appointment Monday, August 23, 2010.  He was back to birth weight (he weighted 8 lbs when we left the hospital) and everything looked great!  Dr. Simon said he is a healthy & strong little guy.
On our way home from the Dr. we stopped at my mom and dad's house to take a picture, Adler is the 5th generation on my dad's side of the family, something that you don't hear of very often.  Well I think I hear him, that must mean nap time is over.

Nursery...

Here are some pictures of the nursery...the only thing missing is a baby!

We are expecting our first baby boy in the next couple of weeks, he is due August 20, 2010.   We are trying to be patient while we wait but the closer it gets the more difficult that becomes.  We have the nursery ready(pictures coming soon), the car seat is in the car and our bags are packed we are just waiting for him to decide to come into this world.  So while we wait for him to get here,I thought I would share some pics of our little man that we had taken July 2, 2010.  We went to Stork Vision in OKC and had a 3D/4D ultrasound done.  It was amazing, I would definitely recommend it.  Getting to see your child's face (while still in utero) for the first time is PRICELESS!
